The Education for Friendship Foundation was registered with the Thai government in 2013 to provide legal and financial services for Burmese educational programs on the Thai-Burma (Myanmar) border.

The Education for Friendship Foundation was registered with the Thai government in 2013 to provide legal and financial services for Burmese educational programs on the Thai-Burma (Myanmar) border.

Objectives

To support and educate migrant students;

To promote understanding of Thai law, language and culture to migrant students;

To encourage good relations between migrants and Thai people;

 

EFF supports three different educational programs for children of refugees and migrant workers in the Mae Sot area. These programs are funded by international NGOs such as the Child’s Dream Foundation, as well as by former teachers and supporters from abroad.

Our Programs

These programs are important channels for neglected Burmese youth to gain access to better jobs, to prepare for further training, or to set course for university study.

BHSOH

BHSOH (Boarding High School for Orphans and Homeless) is a “migrant learning center”

offering primary and secondary education in
Burmese, Thai and English.

Minmahaw School

MS (Minmahaw School) is an English immersion program,

offering high school level studies

to improve language skills,
critical thinking, and global awareness.

MHEP

MHEP (Minmahaw Higher Education Program)

is a one-year

intensive English-language university preparation program.
